me
I first discovered my love for
photography when I was 10 years old. My step-dad,
Jeff, gave me an
old Olympus 35mm manual camera and taught me all the basics
for f-stops and shutter speeds. I was addicted.
As part of
a class project when I was 11, I created a photography book
capturing human emotion. Today, it is still important for
me to capture emotion in my photography – real feeling. I
see feeling in gestures, moods, a pop of color and
always a sense of place. But most often I find real feeling
in the faces of my subjects - their natural expressions and
reactions to their situations and surroundings.
I feel so lucky to have a job
that I enjoy. Wedding and portrait photography is
creatively fun but also very rewarding in that I get to meet
so many wonderful people.
When I'm not at a wedding or
portrait session, you can find me at the park with my dogs,
enjoying a nice meal with my husband, dressing up in crazy
costumes with my crazy friends, or travelling the world.
I love to travel. Opening
my eyes (and my soul) to the world has inspired me to be a
better person and (I hope) a better photographer. I
post travel pictures on my
blog>personal from time to time so stop by and check
them out and please feel free to leave a comment if you
wish!
